FyaVerse, born Fabian Wayne Edwards on November 16, 1999, also known as Fya, Versy, JahFya, Fyah Man, Verse, Island Bwoy or simply FireVerse, is a Jamaican artist with Guyanese heritage who has been actively pursuing music since 2016.

Raised in Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica, FyaVerse discovered his passion for music at a young age. His musical journey began in 2016, when his childhood friend Wolde West, known as Iamedz, mentored him in vocal projection and songwriting. Under Iamedz’s guidance, FyaVerse recorded his first single, “Gimme Di Weed”, which was both produced by and featured Iamedz. Though the song was never officially released on digital platforms, it marked the beginning of his recording career.

While attending Cross Keys High School, FyaVerse became part of a musical group called New Flex Generation (formerly N.F.G). He later released his first official single, “Today Is Not Yesterday,” in 2018, followed by “Them Never Want Shine.”

Following the success of his early singles, FyaVerse moved to Kingston, Jamaica, to further his career, settling in Cassia Park. There, he released his first music video for “Today Is Not Yesterday,” which led to him being noticed by legendary reggae singer Junior Reid, a former member of Black Uhuru. Recognizing his potential, Junior Reid took FyaVerse under his wing, mentoring him and introducing him to the inner workings of the music industry as part of the One Blood Family.

In 2019, FyaVerse furthered his education at Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts. Later that year, he connected with Dutch producer ChevoBeatz, who played a pivotal role in elevating his career to an international level. Their collaboration led to the release of “Shatta Gyal” in 2023, which peaked on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 in 2024 and reached #1 on Hype TV Jamaica. In 2025, their song “Times Dread” charted #1 on Fiwi Choice Top 10, earning a nomination for Best Reggae Act at the HDP Music Awards.

FyaVerse’s music blends reggae and dancehall with modern influences, drawing inspiration from traditional reggae, Jamaican culture, and contemporary sounds. Over the years, he has collaborated with several established artists, including Luciano on the song “Reggae Music” featuring Kraative. He has also made notable appearances in music videos, including Bugle’s “Toxicity” and Munga Honorable’s “Drugs Dealer.” Additionally, he has worked on multiple projects with Marlon B, a former member of the German band Söhne Mannheims, showcasing his versatility as both an artist and producer.

FyaVerse has also worked with Dejuan Records on several projects with WrldClassic Records, including his EP “From Insult to Injury” and tracks like “Dream” and “Blue Note” featuring Emynenx, in 2020 he released an album called Classic Legend for his childhood friend Iamedz, under the label MedzMuzic Records, FyaVerse signed to Sony Music Publishing in 2024 and working with ChevoProductions.
