Bugatti Divo Review

At some point, Bugatti looked at the Chiron, a car with 1,500 horsepower that can hit 261 mph and costs roughly the same as a small Caribbean island, and thought “you know what this needs? Less top speed, more cornering ability, and about 90 percent less availability.”

The result is the Divo, limited to just 40 units worldwide, and one of them is currently sitting at F1rst Motors Dubai off Exit 45 on Sheikh Zayed Road, waiting for someone with properly exceptional taste and an even more exceptional bank balance. The Bugatti Divo for sale in Dubai is a very loud and very fast, and very money-hungry statement that you don’t care about top speed records.

Or practicality.

Or anything sensible whatsoever.

You care about exclusivity, about owning something that precisely 39 other people on Earth can claim. And even one of those is in a museum already.

Named after French racing driver Albert Divo, who won the Targa Florio twice in the 1920s, this modern interpretation prioritizes cornering over outright velocity, which is Bugatti speak for “we made it handle properly rather than just going stupidly fast in a straight line.”

At the heart sits that glorious 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine producing 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Newton-meters of torque. It’s the same basic powerplant as the Chiron, but that’s where the similarities end. The Divo weighs 35 kilograms less through

extensive use of carbon fiber and removal of sound insulation, because apparently, hearing the V16 howl is more important than comfort.

The redesigned aerodynamic package generates 456 kilograms of downforce, 90 kilograms more than the Chiron, achieved through a massive rear wing, revised front splitter, and air intakes that look like they’re trying to inhale entire highways.

Why F1rst Motors’ Divo matters

The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission shifts with the sort of violence that makes conventional gearboxes look positively leisurely, while the all-wheel-drive system deploys power with precision that belies the absurd figures involved. Zero to 100 km/h takes approximately 2.4 seconds, which is quick enough to make your face do things faces weren’t designed to do.

Top speed is limited to 380 km/h, 40 km/h slower than the Chiron, because apparently, cornering matters more than bragging rights at dinner parties.

Finding a Bugatti Divo for sale anywhere is remarkable.

Finding one in Dubai makes perfect sense because this city understands hypercars in ways other places simply cannot.

The roads here can handle a car this extreme, the climate won’t destroy it through corrosion, and there’s a community of collectors who genuinely appreciate what Bugatti has achieved.

This particular Divo is finished in grey with black interior, a sophisticated combination that’s considerably more restrained than some of the more extroverted specifications Bugatti offered.

The 2021 model year means it’s essentially new, with brand-new mileage and European specifications. It comes with complete documentation and the peace of mind that comes from dealing with specialists who understand these machines intimately.

The Divo represents Bugatti at its most focused, trading ultimate top speed for genuine handling prowess.

It’s a hypercar that prioritizes the driving experience over straight-line bragging rights, which is refreshingly honest in a segment often dominated by numbers rather than actual dynamics.

Only 40 were built.

F1rst Motors has one available now at our Dubai showroom off Exit 45 on Sheikh Zayed Road.
