“It spun me in circles and slammed me against the ocean floor three times before finally letting me go,” she recalls with a laugh. “That moment ended up inspiring an entire verse: ‘Life be crazy, hella crazy it wanna throw you down, toss you around, against the ground.'”

These experiences in nature often spark creative downloads. “By the time I reach the summit, something has usually shifted inside me. I’ve let something go, or I’ve received a new idea. That’s often when lyrics or melodies start to flow in.”
